About Us

October 23, 2015

Dear Families,

My name is Erin Kamemoto.  I have been the technology coordinator at Lincoln for the past 3 years.  I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work more closely with your child in a more traditional classroom setting.  There are lots of new things to be learned and new friends to be made.  I am very excited to get started.

I will be working with your child on Language Arts and Math.  We are lucky to have a reduced class size, which allows us more individualized focus on our core programs Wonders and Stepping Stones.  My goal for this year is to help your child to be an independent and responsible learner and show him or her how to make responsible choices. To accomplish this goal, there will be regular homework and we will be making the most of our class time.  My expectations for the students will be high.  I expect them to work hard and do their best.

Please read over the next page with your child. This page will discuss homework, review classroom expectations, and introduce our class website.

Thank you for your support.  I look forward to an exciting year!

Sincerely,

Erin Kamemoto

Expectations

On the first day, we discussed our goals and expectations for our class.  We talked about how being a productive class will help up meet our goals of learning as much as we can while also having fun.  We came up with the following expectations of each other to help us meet our goals.

We expect each other to:

1. Listen to the speaker.

2. Follow directions.

3. Focus on their assignments by working hard and not distract others.

4. Keep all body parts and supplies to themselves.

5. Respect each other, our classroom, and our teachers.

6. Be positive and try your best.

Homework

Homework is review and practice of the material we are learning in class.  Please go over the homework with your child and assist them if they are having difficulty.  If your child is having a hard time with the homework, please let me know by writing me a note on their assignment or in their planner.
